Artstrology Article: Use of Color           Color has many different meanings in many cultures. To arrive at a concensus one must remove bias and look at how nature presents it in its ultimate simplicity. Therefore, an attempt will be made to apply minimalism to the spiritual applications of the meaning of color as it applies to this site. Different cultures were sampled and what resonated was kept. Black and white are non-colors and are only used when necessary on this site. It has been said that White is Light sped up, and Black is Light slowed down. All other colors are in the spectrum flowing between these 2 points. Also too, it has been compared to; spirituality is information sped up, and science is information slowed down. The ultimate goal would be to lawfully wed spirituality with science. The spectrum in between is comprised of many variations of these basic colors with as many meanings as variations. Here are the basics. Red is Desire (darker is dehabilitative and lighter is facilitative) Blue- Peace and Understanding (darker is the stability of Understanding and lighter is the communication that facilitates Peace) Blue and Red make Purple. The color of Spiritual Ascension. Darker Purple is the center of spiritual stability (Creator) and lighter Purple is the ascension. Thus, the logo of the site, Blue and Red make Purple shown in the vesica pisces. Green is growth. Life moving forward. Yellow is the Crown, the Idea, the first thought. The color of the Sun. Brown is the Earth. Stability. Non-movement. Orange is the color of Joy. Life is Colorful and we can only see a small portion of the spectrum.
